Megan Gallian Becomes Newest Honor Caddie of Caddyshack to Corner Office

Please welcome Megan Gallian to Caddyshack to Corner Office as its newest Honor Caddie. Though still early in their careers, they are current or former caddies well on their way to the proverbial corner office. Beyond their love for golf and the unique job of caddying, they are intelligent, hardworking and offer a fresh perspective. With their help, we’ve not only told stories of some of America’s most successful former caddies, but we’ve established a unique audience comprised of older golf fans who recognize the caddy’s special role in the game as well as an ambitious younger generation which sees how the game can alter a life’s trajectory.”

Megan Gallian is currently a sophomore Evans Scholar from The University of Notre Dame studying on the pre-medicine track as a Neuroscience & Behavior major with a minor in Compassionate Care in Medicine. She lives in Chicago and caddied for four years at Bryn Mawr Country Club in Lincolnwood, Illinois. This school year, Megan serves as President of the Notre Dame Evans Scholars Chapter.

From Megan: “I am thankful for caddying because I have learned a multitude of life skills I carry with me in academics, the workplace, and life including dedication, effective communication, the importance of hard work, and preparedness. Caddying gave me the ability to think quickly on my feet to evaluate every possibility that could occur on and off the golf course, whether it be deciding which club to hand my golfer before their next shot or evaluating the outcome of a given situation in a science laboratory. The golfers I had the pleasure of working with truly cared about my future and provided me insight into career paths, college decisions, networking, and my favorite lesson: how to give a proper handshake. For myself and my family, caddying changed our lives. My twin sister and I both received the Evans Scholarship, which opened the door to the possibility of attending some of the leading prestigious academic institutions in the country. It is with great enthusiasm that I am a part of the Caddyshack to Corner Office team, to share stories of successful caddies whose lives were also changed as a result of caddying.”

In her free time, Megan enjoys painting, biking, volunteering, ceramics, and spending time with friends and family.
